At the 1:00 mark in this video, councilmember Cedric Leonard expresses his frustration to the council about the way names were presented to fill the vacancy caused by Carolyn Brown‘s resignation.

In the story above, Leonard had asked to postpone the vote in order to better consider candidates.

During this video, he bluntly states , “Apparently, this was decided, before tonight. Then alderman Joe Meeks replied that he was of offended at the implication that this matter was decided before prior to the meeting.
