According to Sheriff Mark Gober, on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at approximately 7:30 p.m. members of the Drew County Sheriff’s Office, Monticello Rescue / Dive Team, Arkansas Game & Fish and MASI Ambulance Service were dispatched to Lake Monticello (Hunger Run Access) to a vehicle running off into the lake. Derrick Nichols, of Warren, impressed everyone at the Drew County Fairgrounds Lawnmower Raceway, with his 10.0 second time trial, the lowest ever in Monticello, Saturday afternoon.

Nichols’ mower was entered in the super-modified class.

Last Tuesday, Siemens and the City of Monticello met in Little Rock in an attempt to mediate hte situation, to avoid a lawsuit, by reaching a compromise.

It appears that on the way out of town, Siemens filed that lawsuit in the U.S. Eastern District Curt.
