The Drew Memorial Hospital emergency room now is treating over 1000 patients/monthly, for 7 consecutive months. They also have achieved an average service time of approximately 2 hours/patient in the emergency department.

Jim Hall was arrested by Drew County Sheriff’s Deputies, Monday afternoon around 2:15.

Maxwell Hardwood Flooring held a luncheon at UAM, Wednesday, in celebration of the companies 25 years in business.

Since 1992, when Maxwell Hardwood purchased Razorback Hardwood, they begin with 33 employees and currently provide jobs for over 250 southeast Arkansas residents.

The city budget/finance/streets committee met Tuesday night, in what turned out to be a two hour meeting.

A retired Ashley County Sheriff’s Deputy recently travel to Michigan to deliver a death certificate and a military memorial flag to the mother of a recently identified  man, who died in an Ashley County accident in 1989.

After years of waiting, the City of Monticello finally received their 2013, 2014 & 2015 audits from Bell, Foster, Watkins & Johnson, after having been notified several times of violations by the Arkansas Department of Legislative Audit.

The council also voted to accept bids for the upcoming audit, which has generally cost around $45,000/year.
