SeaArk Boats Joins Correct Craft Team To Serve in Merced, California

Over the past nine days more than 100 Correct Craft employees (including five from SeaArk Boats) from around the country travelled to Merced, California, to serve in the home town of Correct Craft companies Centurion Boats and Supreme Boats. There were two groups of employees traveling between June 29th and July 7th to participate in the company’s project “Loving on Merced!”
Employee volunteers from Correct Craft and its various subsidiaries (Nautique, Centurion, Supreme, SeaArk, Bass Cat, Yar-Craft, Bryant, Parker, Aktion Parks, Watershed and Pleasurecraft Engine Group) banded together to help the community of Merced by renovating the Winton LifeLine Community Center and making significant renovations to the Applegate Park and Zoo.
During the trip, Correct Craft employees helped the Winton LifeLife Community Center by installing flooring, panels, doors, light fixtures and ceiling tiles. They also installed drywall and built both railings and a shade pergola that went behind the center. Correct Craft painted, updated computer systems, and provided funding for a new roof for the community center. Correct Craft employees also served the community’s cherished Applegate Park and Zoo by building a bulletin board, repairing walkways, painting, and completing other miscellaneous maintenance and repair projects.
During the week the group was honored by Merced’s Mayor and City Commissioners at the City Commision meeting. Centurion and Supreme Boats President Paul Singer represented Correct Craft at the meeting and was able to share with City leaders some of the things being done, even beyond this week’s service, by Centurion and Supreme Boats to serve the Merced community.
This recent trip marked the thirteenth year Correct Craft has taken employees to serve in various communities around the world. Previous service trips have been in Cambodia, India, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, and throughout Central America and the Caribbean.
Centurion and Supreme President Paul Singer, commented, “It was an honor to be a part of Correct Craft implementing our culture of Making Life Better right here in our home town.” Singer added, “Our team at Centurion Boats and Supreme Boats is committed to our local community and serve it regularly, but it was also exciting to serve alongside employees from our fellow Correct Craft companies and make a significant positive impact here in Merced.”
