As warmer weather increases across Drew County, so has the number of snakes in the area.
County Cooperative extension agent Steve Kelly recommends this UA Agriculture website to explain the differences between many snakes, that are native to Arkansas.
2nd Rape Charge & Drugs Sends Local Man Back to Prison

In an update to the story below, a former Drew County man, who went to prison in 2002 for raping a 16-year-old Monticello boy, had his probation revoked, Monday, on testimony that he failed to register as a sex offender when he moved to a new area , after getting out of prison.
