Drew Central fourth grade students learned that their are many challenges when reading a technical schematic diagram. Students working with a partner were given the task to build a toy Bionicle. None of the Bionicles were the same. Students were required to build the toy Bionicle following a step process and were not given a picture of what was being built. This project gave students the opportunity to practice critical thinking, team building, and perseverance skills.
From the United Kingdom to Arkansas, research forester’s silvicultural histories are recognized. The Editorial Board of Forestry, an international journal of forest research recently awarded Don Bragg, Research Forester, USDA Forest Service, the “2017 Percy Stubbs, John Bolton King and Edward Garfitt Prize for Silviculture” for advancing silviculture research. The city pool at City Park is open, 7 days/week, starting today, from 1–6 pm.
The splash pad, located at Jordan Park, opens from 12:30 – 6:30 pm.
