Trooper Promoted to Sergeant / Supervisor

Corporal David “Matt” Outlaw, 41, of Drew County, has been promoted to the rank of sergeant, assigned to Highway Patrol Division. He will serve as a post supervisor for Troop F, out of Drew & Bradley Counties.

Sergeant Outlaw is a 10 year veteran of the department.

On August 24, 2017, the Drew County Sheriff’s Office and the Drew County community suffered the loss of Deputy Tim Braden. Deputy Braden lost his life in the line of duty in a vehicle accident.
