MHS Graduation Moved to Hyatt Field, Thursday, 7 PM.

Due to updated health concerns, the Monticello School District has received permission from the state to hold their graduation ceremony Thursday night at 7 PM, at Hyatt field. There will be one graduation event for all graduating seniors.

Updated information as to the requirements to deal with Covid safety will be announced Tuesday/Wednesday.

Circuit Court Continues, Behind Masks, Windows & TV Screens

Drew County Circuit Judge Bynum Gibson presided over his court, today, with several recent changes. Shown here is the new plexiglass window, separating the court staff from defendants and other court staff.

Social distancing takes place, also, with only 2 people sitting on each of the court benches.

This photo from last months court session shows where defendants incarcerated in ADC are not transported to Drew County, but have their hearings take place electronically. The TV screen on the right of the photo can have the defendant and his attorney if needed, taking part, from wherever they may be housed.
