The University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM) named 272 students to the Dean’s List and 167 students to the Chancellor’s List for the fall 2022 semester, according to Keith Chambliss, UAM’s registrar.
Selection to the Dean’s List requires a student to earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher on at least 12 semester hours of course credit at the 1000-4000 level. Selection to the Chancellor’s List requires a student to earn a grade-point average of 4.0 on at least 12 semester hours of course credit at the 1000-4000 level. Read the rest of this entry »

Six 4-H members of Drew County 4-H attended the daylong festivities on Feb. 28 to learn about state government, meet legislators and share their 4-H experience. For some, it was their first visit to the Arkansas Capitol.
Participating members include:

The Drew Memorial Hospital board of directors held a special called meeting, Friday afternoon, to discuss several urgent topics, including cash on hand, a sustainability plan to keep the hospital in operation, and discussion of the potential merger with Baptist health systems.
Topics discussed included the fact that Drew Memorial provides $16 million in yearly payroll to employees, relations with funding sources like Blue Cross and Medicare, and also dealing with creditors and ways to collect more revenue.
