Drew Central Fourth Graders Participate in Program Celebrating Its 25th Year

The Monticello Rotary Club members are leaders in the community and serve as role models for students. Each week, members read a book to students and students interview the members using questions they wrote in advance. In addition, students received their own copy of THE BFG by Roald Dahl to explore examples of a master writer using figurative language techniques studied this year. UAM Students Win Statewide Academic Awards at Phi Beta Lambda-FBLA Conference

(left to right) UAM School of Business students Anna Wynn, Mara Neal, Paige Olguin, Kinlee O’Neal, Christine Hicks and Abby McBride recently won statewide academic awards at the 2023 Arkansas Phi Beta Lambda-Collegiate Future Business Leaders of America State Leadership Conference. Estephany Roman-Aguilar is not pictured but also placed at the event.

Seven University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM) students won academic awards at the Phi Beta Lambda-Collegiate Future Business Leaders of America State Leadership Conference that was held in Little Rock, Arkansas, on March 31 through April 1, 2023.

All seven UAM students who participated in the statewide competition won awards in their respective events. Five students took first place in at least one event. Two students were double majors in accounting and business administration; one student was a double major in biology and chemistry; and four students were majors in either business administration or accounting.
