Food Truck Ordinance being Considered by Monticello City Council, Tonight

The city council of Monticello will be considering a “food truck“ ordinance at tonight‘s meeting.

We are planning to post the video of the meeting on MonticelloLive, Wednesday morning.

The intent is not to ban food trucks, but to “level the playing field” and ensure quality and safety for local customers and businesses.

“First, let me be clear in saying that I support mobile vendors. I think they bring variety, culture, convenience and many other positive aspects. Our local vendors (in my experience) are all great people providing a service to our communities. We want to encourage that, but also set guidelines for operating in the City of Monticello.
