The City of Monticello is currently applying for a $500,000 Matching Park Grant through the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage, and Tourism. The grant will be used to renovate the basketball and tennis courts at McCloy Park.
The plan includes the removal and replacement of the current basketball, tennis, and pickle ball courts. The plan also includes adding benches, new fencing, and an asphalt parking lot around the courts for additional parking and ADA accessibility. Read the rest of this entry »
Dr. Shanna Knowles, assistant professor of management for the School of Business at the University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM), has been named the 2023-2024 Collegiate Business Teacher of the Year by the Arkansas Business Education Association (ABEA).
