MurderTrial 2:30 Update – Witness #2, “Pryor & the Shotgun”

July 25th, 2013 by

The second witness testified that he had been drinking whiskey since about 10 am the day of the murder. He and Mr Pryor sat in the yard and drank until almost dark. Another man who was present and drinking with them bumped his leg and was limping. The witness made a joke about the friend’s limp, and thinks he recalls Mr. Pryor saying he remembered who shot him in the leg. The witness stated he thought Mr. Pryor was upset about a girl he had just met. Later, the witness showed Mr. Pryor his shotgun, a 12 ga. Remington pump loaded with .00 buckshot. He stated that he could not identify the shell brand because it had been over a year since he had loaded it. He stated that he went to the restroom, and while he was there, Mr. Pryor left with the shotgun. The witness testified that Mr. Pryor returned about 35-40 minutes later, said the gun was in the creek, and left again. The witness then went to his daughter’s house and asked her to call 911.
