Mainline Receives National Recognition

September 15th, 2021 by

mainlineThe Health Resources and Services Administration, an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, recently awarded seven 2021 Community Health Quality Recognition badges to Mainline Health Systems.

The badges recognize health center program awardees that have made notable quality improvement achievements in 2020. In addition, COVID-19 badges were introduced to recognize health centers’ contributions to the public health emergency response.

“We are very proud that MHSI and our staff are being recognized for their notable quality improvement achievements during a year that was anything but normal,” said Jeni Barham, Mainline Chief Quality Officer. “This recognition reflects not only the caliber and commitment to a high quality standard of care that MHSI provides to our patients, but the caliber and commitment of our amazing staff.”

Mainline was awarded the following badges:

• The Health Center Quality Leaders Badge, which recognizes the top 21-30 percent of health centers that achieve the best overall clinical quality measure performance.

• The Advancing Health Information Technology (HIT) for Quality Badge, which recognizes health centers that meet all criteria to optimize HIT services that advance telehealth, patient engagement, interoperability and the collection of social determinants of health to increase the access to care and advance the quality of care.

• Access Enhancer Badge, which recognizes health centers that increase by at least five percent the total number of patients they serve and the number of patients who receive at least one comprehensive service (mental health, substance abuse, vision, dental, and/or enabling).

• Health Disparities Reducer Badge, which recognizes health centers that meet or exceed Healthy People goals in the areas of low birth weight, hypertension, or uncontrolled diabetes for at least one racial/ethnic minority group and demonstrate at least a 10 percent improvement in the areas of low birth weight, hypertension, or uncontrolled diabetes for at least one racial/ethnic group.

• COVID-19 Data Reporter Badge, which recognizes health centers that supported data for public health emergencies with response rates of 90 percent or more to the weekly Health Center COVID-19 Survey from April 10, 2020 to July 2, 2021.

• The COVID-19 Testing Badge, which recognizes health centers that tested more than 50 percent of their 2020 reported patient populations from April 10, 2020 to July 2, 2021 and have a response rate of at least 50 percent to the weekly Health Center COVID-19 Survey.

• The Patient Centered Medical Home Badge, which recognizes health centers with PCMH recognition in one or more of its delivery sites.

“It takes an amazing team of dedicated professionals to take on a global pandemic and still have one of the best quality care years ever,” said Mainline CEO Allan Nichols. “Our people are special and they are 100 percent invested in our patients and our patients getting better. I could not be prouder and I am lucky to work with each of them.”
