At 5:03 pm, Thursday afternoon, a local 26 year-old man lost his life in a 3 vehicle collision on Highway 83 North, at North Cut Off Creek Bridge.

Cody Brockman, an employee of O’Reilly auto parts,   was traveling north in his Chevrolet pick up, when he was struck head-on by a Dodge Grand Caravan, traveling south, that had crossed into his lane, after striking the bridge railing.

Brockman’s truck flipped onto the concrete bridge rail before coming to a stop on the metal railing end of the bridge.  He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Drew County corners office.

The Grand Caravan also struck a Dodge  pick-up, (following behind the Chevy) before coming to a stop.

The Drew County Sheriff’s Dept. OEM and Monticello Fire Dept. responded.

MASI transported the driver of the Grand Caravan to Drew Memorial.

An Arkansas State Trooper investigated the crash.
