JOURNALISM NEWS – For a limited time only, get the 2014 yearbook for only $20 with the purchase of the 2015 yearbook. See the yearbook staff or Ms. Atkins to get yours today.

WATER – FCCLA will be selling cold water in Mrs. Vance’s room. Cost is 50 cents per bottle. Please do NOT interrupt Mrs. Vance’s classes to purchase water.

SCRAPBOOKING – Tuesday’s & Wednesday’s Mrs. Snuffer will be holding a scrapbooking class on Tuesday’s & Wednesday’s from 3:30 to 5:30 in her room.

English Tutoring – Mondays & Wednesdays There will be English tutoring on Mondays & Wednesdays in Mrs. Metzer’s room *#506) from 3:30 – 5:30.

All young ladies are invited to join the Growing in Grace Class that will be meeting on Tuesday’s at 4:30 in Ms. Birch’s room. See Ms. Birch for details.
DRIVERS TEST – Students if you plan to take your written driver test, you will need to stop by the counselors’ office and fill out a request form. Please allow a week’s notice for your paperwork.
Attention Baseball Players – If you’re planning on playing baseball this year, please meet with Mr. Wilmoth today during the first part of lunch. This will be a short meeting.
HAT DAY – Friday is hat day! Purchase your hat day sticker from Mrs. Vance. Cost is $1.00.
REMINDER – During lunch all food and drink should be taken to the cafeteria. You are not to take any cups or plates from the cafeteria.
PIRATE FOOTBALL – Our Jr. Pirates will travel to Lake Village to play the Lakeside on Thursday evening. Kick off will be at 6:00 p.m. Our Sr. Pirates will travel to Fordyce to play the Redbugs on Friday. Kick off will be at 7:30 p.m. Come out and support our Pirates! Go Big Red !

LUNCH INFORMATION – Students, if you bring your lunch, or someone drops your lunch off for you. You MUST eat it in the cafeteria. This includes chips and a drink. All food must be eaten in the cafeteria. Also, students are NOT allowed in their vehicles during lunch.

CELLPHONE REMINDER – Students, remember that cell phones and other electronic devices are to be used before school, during lunch, and after school only! They are not to be out during class OR in between classes.

Cafeteria Reminder – Students should not use their cell phones or wear headphones/earphones while waiting in line to turn in your lunch number to staff.
DC CROSS COUNTRY – Our DC Cross Country team will be running in the District Conference Meet in Star City at Cane Creek State on Saturday, Oct. 24th. Run Pirates Run !
REMINDER – Students there will be zero tolerance for sagging. Sagging is defined in the handbook as wearing the waistband of slacks, pants or shorts below the natural waistline. Sagging will be determined by the outer-most layer of clothing.
Attention Students – Loitering in the parking lot after school will NOT be tolerated! If you attend tutoring or other after school activities you need to get to your destination in a timely manner. Tutoring/Remediation students need to wait on the front porch till tutoring begins.

American Legion High School Oratorical Contest Deadline Dec. 31 Open to 9th – 12th graders.

American Legion Coudret Trust Foundation Scholarship and the Garner Trust Foundation Scholarship. (Seniors only, Must be a child, grandchild, or great-grandchild on an American Legionnaire) Deadline March 14.
