ATTENTION – Because ISS is in session during lunch, all students are to exit the high school building at 12:30 and remain out until 1:00. The cafeteria is available on rainy days. Thank you for your cooperation.
First Mate Mentors – Please turn in your peer mentor handbook into Ms. Edmonds office.
ATTENTION – Any 11th grade students interested in doing the morning announcements next year, please sign up in the office.
SUMMER SCHOOL – Summer School will begin June 8, run 3 weeks, and end June 26. 8 am until noon each day. Courses being offered are Alg I, Geometry, English, Physical Science and Biology. If you need to attend sign up in Ms. Edmonds’ office.
BETA CLUB MEETING – Wednesday
Beta Club meeting Wednesday, May 13 at lunch in Ms. Atkins’ room. See Ms. Atkins by Tuesday if you need a tray from the cafeteria.
SPRING FOOTBALL – Spring Football practice will begins TODAY at 3:30. Practice will be open to all students in grades 9th -11th, regardless if you’re in an athletic period. This is your chance to see if you got what it takes, Come be a part of something special. See Coach Moore if you have any questions.
Attention – Cheerleaders are selling skulls like the ones you see painted in the parking lot in front of the High School for $25. See any cheerleader to purchase, if you would like on with your name or club.
REMINDER – OEC and ALE students are to report to the library if they return to school before the bell rings for their next class.
JUNIORS- If you are interested in attending Arkansas Governor’s School this summer, pick up information in the counselor’s office. It will be June 14 through July 25 at Hendrix College in Conway.
HEALTY LIFESTYLES – Mrs. Vance’s Healthy Lifestyles will meet Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. Come and join us for food and fun !
LETTERMAN JACKETS – Letterman jackets are in. You may pick them up at the beginning of 7th period today.
ZUMBA – The high school after school program is having Zumba on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Anyone who wants to work out can attend. It will be in the auditorium this week.
SPORTS BANQUETS- Drew Central’s annual sports banquets will be held Saturday May 16th. The Jr sports banquet starts at 4 in the Cafeteria followed by the SR sports banquet at 7pm. Please come out and support our student athletes.
EAST PROJECT – Seniors whenever you get the opportunity and your teacher’s permission, please come by EAST Lab to have your photo taken for an ongoing EAST project.
CELLPHONE REMINDER – Students, remember that cell phones and other electronic devices are to be used before school, during lunch, and after school only! They are not to be out during class changes.
Attention Students – If you need a form and transcript for your driver’s license you must pick up a request, fill it out and return it to Ms. Colbert one week before you need them for the test. We will not give you the paperwork on the morning of the test, at the last minute.
Cafeteria Reminder – Students should not use their cell phones or wear headphones/earphones while waiting in line to turn in your lunch number to staff.
Want to Learn to Crochet?
The after school program is offering crochet classes on Tuesdays from 4:30-5:30. Class will meet in Room 128 across from the teacher’s lounge. If you already crochet, bring your work in progress and join us for some fun. Join Ms. James and learn to crochet.

REMINDER – Students there will be zero tolerance for sagging. Sagging is defined in the handbook as wearing the waistband of slacks, pants or shorts below the natural waistline. Sagging will be determined by the outer-most layer of clothing.
BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND – HAT DAY!!!! – FCCLA will be selling HAT DAY stickers on Fridays for $1.00, see Mrs. Vance or an FCCLA member to purchase your sticker.
Attention Students – Loitering in the parking lot after school will NOT be tolerated! If you attend tutoring or other after school activities you need to get to your destination in a timely manner. Tutoring/Remediation students need to wait on the front porch till tutoring begins.
May 11th & 12th – Monday & Tuesday – Senior semester tests.
May 15 – Friday – Senior Picnic at 11:30 on practice football field; Graduation Practice at 1:00 in the gym.
May 18th – Senior Awards Assembly in auditorium. Be there at 6:00p.m.; program starts at 6:30.
May 19th – Commencement Ceremony – Seniors need to report to the cafeteria by 7:15 p.m. – Ceremony starts at 8:00.
