Congratulations to Tallen Macon, Joel Wallis and David Rodriguez for making The All Region Bands. The region band concerts will be on January 24th here at Drew Central at 2:00. Admission is free of charge.
Blood Drive – Thursday
If you have not yet signed up to donate, please see Mrs. Oxner today. Sixteen year old students MUST have their signed consent form and all donors are required to have an ID. If you do not have an ID you must stop by the main office or counselor’s office and have a demographic sheet printed out before you come to the drive. Remember to eat a good supper tonight and a good breakfast in the morning before you donate and drink plenty of water! Every donation touches the lives of three people so please sign up today!
Attention – Cheerleaders are selling skulls like the ones you see painted in the parking lot in front of the High School for $25. See any cheerleader to purchase, if you would like on with your name or club.
REMINDER – OEC and ALE students are to report to the library if they return to school before the bell rings for their next class.

SENIORS- If you did not pay your class dues last year and would like to attend prom THIS year, dues MUST be paid by Feb. 20th.

JUNIORS- If you are interested in attending Arkansas Governor’s School this summer, pick up information in the counselor’s office. It will be June 14 through July 25 at Hendrix College in Conway.

Department meetings will be today after school.

There will be a Beta Club meeting today during lunch in Ms. Atkins’ room.

GOLDEN LUNCH PASS SWEEPSTAKES -Enter to win the “Golden Lunch Pass Sweepstakes” each morning that you come to breakfast in the CIV room you can enter your name in the drawing. The winner will receive a golden pass that will allow them to go the front of the lunch line for a week. No more waiting! Drawing will be held each Friday. Stop by and grab some breakfast and enter to win!

ZUMBA – The high school after school program is having Zumba on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Anyone who wants to work out can attend. It will be in the auditorium this week.
NOTICE – Students, if you bring your lunch or someone drops your lunch off for you, you MUST eat it in the cafeteria. This includes chips and a drink. All food must be eaten in the cafeteria. Also, students are NOT allowed in their vehicles during lunch.

EAST PROJECT – Seniors whenever you get the opportunity and your teacher’s permission, please come by EAST Lab to have your photo taken for an ongoing EAST project.
The deadline to pay FFA dues is Friday, Jan. 16th.
ATTENTION SENIORS – Start bringing baby photos and middle school photos to EAST Lab ! We are getting a head start on the senior slide show for graduation. Also, if you have group pictures you would like in the slideshow, bring them also !
CELLPHONE REMINDER – Students, remember that cell phones and other electronic devices are to be used before school, during lunch, and after school only! They are not to be out during class changes.

JUNIORS – If you are interested in serving on prom committee, sign-up in Mrs. Metzer’s room and pay your dues ASAP. Your dues MUST be paid before you can be selected to be on prom committee. First 10 juniors to pay and sign-up will be selected. Meetings will begin as soon as the committee is selected.


JUNIORS – Class dues need to be paid ASAP, they are $60 and may be paid to Mrs. Leek. You cannot attend prom if your dues are not paid. The deadline to pay dues is Feb. 20th.

Attention Students – If you need a form and transcript for your driver’s license you must pick up a request, fill it out and return it to Ms. Colbert one week before you need them for the test. We will not give you the paperwork on the morning of the test, at the last minute.
PARKING PERMITS – Students, you may make arrangements to purchase your parking permits from Mr. Canard or see him after school. Cost is $10.00
Our DC Pirates will play Lakeside at home on Friday afternoon. Teams playing are Jr. Boys\Sr. Girls\Sr. Boys. Tip off will be at 5:00 p.m. Go Pirates !

Attention Seniors – Space is limited for senior ads in the yearbook. You can reserve your space with as little as $25 down. Please see any member of the yearbook staff or Ms. Atkins to order.
Cafeteria Reminder – Students should not use their cell phones or wear headphones/earphones while waiting in line to turn in your lunch number to staff.
YEARBOOKS – The 2015 yearbook is on sale for $45. Please see any member of the yearbook staff or Ms. Atkins to order.
REMINDER – Students there will be zero tolerance for sagging. Sagging is defined in the handbook as wearing the waistband of slacks, pants or shorts below the natural waistline. Sagging will be determined by the outer-most layer of clothing.
BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND – HAT DAY!!!! – FCCLA will be selling HAT DAY stickers on Fridays for $1.00, see Mrs. Vance or an FCCLA member to purchase your sticker.
Attention Students – Loitering in the parking lot after school will NOT be tolerated! If you attend tutoring or other after school activities you need to get to your destination in a timely manner. Tutoring/Remediation students need to wait on the front porch till tutoring begins.

Reminder To Students – Caps, hats, visors, scarves, headbands, bandannas, and sunglasses are NOT allowed to be worn a school.

NATIONAL SCHOOL PLANT MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION Scholarship, Deadline Feb. 1st Copies in the counselor’s office.

American Legion Garner Trust Scholarship and Cadet Scholarships: Senior must be a child, grandchild or great-grandchild of an American Legionnaire. Applications are in the counselor’s office.
