NOTICE – Students, if you bring your lunch or someone drops your lunch off for you, you MUST eat it in the cafeteria. This includes chips and a drink. All food must be eaten in the cafeteria.
Attention Students – All students are to remain outside in the morning and during lunch until the bell rings for you to come in.
Attention Students – If you are interested in running for Student Council this year, please pick up a petition from Mr. Canard. Petitions are due back to him on Friday.
CELLPHONE REMINDER – Students, remember that cell phones and other electronic devices are to be used before school, during lunch, and after school only! They are not to be out during class changes.
Attention Students – If you need a form and transcript for your driver’s license you must pick up a request, fill it out and return it to Ms. Colbert one week before you need them for the test. We will not give you the paperwork on the morning of the test, at the last minute.
SCHOOL PICTURES – It’s that time again- picture time. We will be taking jr. and sr. high football and cheer pictures on this Wednesday, August 20 during 6th and 7th period. Jr. High will be during 6th, sr. high will be 7th.
PARKING PERMITS – Students, you may make arrangements to purchase your parking permits from Mr. Canard or see him after school. Cost is $10.00
SR QUIZ BOWL – The SR Quiz Bowl Team will have their first practice on Thursday, August 21, after school. We will meet in the Math Lab across from Mrs. Reeves’ room. This practice is open to any interested students, 9-12. New members are welcome!
PIRATE FOOTBALL – Sept. 5
Our DC Pirates will travel to Hampton to play the Bull Dogs on Friday, Sept. 5th. Kick-off will be at 7:00 p.m. Be sure to come out and support our Pirates !
Cafeteria Reminder – Students should not use their cell phones or wear headphones/earphones while waiting in line to turn in your lunch number to staff.
REMINDER – Students there will be zero tolerance for sagging. Sagging is defined in the handbook as wearing the waistband of slacks, pants or shorts below the natural waistline. Sagging will be determined by the outer-most layer of clothing.
BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND – HAT DAY!!!! – FCCLA will be selling HAT DAY stickers on Fridays for $1.00, see Mrs. Vance to get your sticker.
Attention Students – Loitering in the parking lot after school will NOT be tolerated! If you attend tutoring or other after school activities you need to get to your destination in a timely manner. Tutoring/Remediation students need to wait on the front porch till tutoring begins.
Reminder To Students – Caps, hats, visors, scarves, headbands, bandannas, and sunglasses are NOT allowed to be worn a school.
Students, many of you are wanting schedule changes. We gave you everything that we possibly could from your requests that you turned in on CAP day. If you have something you did not ask for it is because you had a conflict in your requests. Schedules will be very hard to change because many classes are at their limit. Seniors, your schedules will not be changed. I will look at the others but there is very little that can be done.
