After a brief apology to a local surveyor, Mayor Chase confirmed that the survey of lake Monticello has been completed and the lake lever project engineer would “have a plan, soon” and move into the bidding process. (more…)

Drew County Alumni basketball scholarship, this scholarship was created to encourage student participation in a post-secondary program of study.  Local donations from Union Bank & Trust, Commercial Bank, Arkansas Superior Federal Credit Union and the Pirate and Billie fans made this scholarship possible.

The Drew County Charity Alumni Basketball Scholarship 2020 Recipients:

The governor did announce that team sports can resume June 1. This does not mean that we will start games that day.

The board will be meeting very soon to decide an official start date.

The complex has been and still is closed and we know teams need some practice time.

We will let all coaches know the plan as soon as we can.

Katlin Lidge Scholarship application available now.  $500 will be awarded to at least one outstanding Senior at Monticello High School.  This scholarship is renewable for 4 years, if the student is in good standing at their college or trade school.  More details are all on application form attached.
