The 7-8 year old All Star team the Monticello Red Hots won the state tournament held in Lake Village last weekend.  They are advancing to the regional tournament in mid July.

The Blue Thunder are still in the tournament, after dropping their first game on Thurs, but winning 2 games on Friday.

The Monticello Red Hots (age 7-8) All Stars won their first game Thursday against the Magnolia Magic, by a score of 11-0. 
They won Friday, as well, and play Saturday at 2 p.m.

 The Xtreme All Stars (age 9-10) won their game as well.

The Monticello Girls Softball 14 under All-Star team, “the Monticello Dirt Divas”, play Magnolia Thursday, at 1:00 in Lake Village at the state tournament.

Our 7-8 year old softball team, the Paints, completed the season this week, undefeated, and the girls are really excited to be in first place.

The almost annual Monticello Police vs. Fire Dept. softball game was held last Saturday, and was played in honor of Sgt. Larry Smith, of the Monticello Police Dept.

Larry was there for the game, and threw out the ceremonial first pitch.
