Mayor Akers is encouraging a city wide clean up on March 24th and 25th. On the 24th, city employees will pick up litter and trash in town and any institution wanting to help on Saturday the 25th can contact City Hall to arrange a time to obtain clean up materials furnished by Keep Arkansas Beautiful.
So far, several Churches have volunteered to help on the 25th, including Morning Star Missionary Baptist, Church of Christ, The Revival Center and Immanuel Baptist.

Monticello School District Special Education Supervisor Natalie Gosdin was featured in the National Council of Exceptional Children and the Council of Administrators of Special Education’s newsletter.
