At 5:45 AM, this morning, a Drew County deputy pulled over a concrete truck, who was spilling part of his load on Highway 425 N., between Sonic and Walmart.
ARDOT has been notified and hopefully will be able to clean up the mess.
Please drive with caution, especially in this area.
We have been asked to point out that Select Concrete was not involved in the incident.

ARDOT cleanup took place prior to 8 AM.

In an effort to systematically improve storm drainage for residents, Streets and Drainage Crews cleared years worth of debris and overgrowth in a large stretch of area including Jordan Park, Sadie Johnson and Oakland Avenue.
This area receives substantial storm run off from low lying areas to the South and drainage blockages have caused water back-up for residents for decades.
City workers removed trampolines, tires, bar-b-que grills and countless other items as well as logs and railroad cross ties that were blocking effective drainage.

According to a Monticello Mayor Jason Akers, another infrastructure project for the residents of Monticello is underway.
Well #4, which supplies water to residents on Oakland, Conley, Cooper and countless other city streets is located near North Conley Street. The well was listed as a priority infrastructure repair when the city obtained its infrastructure plan in 2020. Late Tuesday morning, MLive broke a story about the data mining facility that is being located at the intersection of Cherry Street and the railroad.
By popular demand, the first two stories this morning are re-posts of those stories.
The next story is a press release from MEDC, welcoming them.
The next story after that will be from Delta Data, the company itself, explaining their noise mediation program.
