Immanuel Baptist Church of Monticello hosted a Special Needs Egg Hunt Saturday, April 9th, at the Miracle League Field.   This was held as part of the Arkansas Baptist State Convention’s “Serve Local” missions movement where churches planned and participated in one day, service-based mission projects in their local community.  For more information about IBC visit them on the web at www.ibcmonticello.com

The mission of Jerusalem Project: is to empower SEARK Baptist Teens with the knowledge and skills necessary to address the needs of others as set by Christ’s example. By providing a safe and supportive environment, Jerusalem Project works to build a legacy of future leaders who strengthen awareness of Jesus in their own lives and recognizing others need of Jesus. Shady Grove’s Disaster Relief team will be deploying to the Truman/Monette area  to aid and assist those in need. We will be delivering supplies to them Thursday afternoon and Sunday afternoon. Donations are welcome to help in our mission.

Victims need; Paper goods, Toilet paper, Paper towels, Toiletry items, Laundry items, Cleaning supplies, Gift cards, (No water).

There’s also a toy drive sponsored by the Truman Fire Department.
