Immanuel Baptist Church, 939 Barkada Rd, in Monticello will host their Living Nativity December 13th and 14th, Come and Go, 6pm-8pm each night.
The Christmas story comes alive as IBC transforms the inside of the church to reflect the hustle and bustle of Bethlehem as it would have appeared in biblical times. Church members, handmade costumes and crafts set the scene for the Nativity. Visitors come face-to-face with the Roman guards and tax collector at the city gates before being swept into an authentic-looking and multidimensional experience of the first Christmas. The Living Nativity includes replicas of the inn, multiple storefronts, the three wise men and the manger. Church members portray Bethlehem townspeople as they would have appeared on the first Christmas night.
The congregation of Immanuel Baptist Church Monticello is excited to announce that David Bowen will be their new pastor. His first Sunday will be December 1st, 2019. (more…)
