Jason McDougald and Christy Mansfield would like to announce the birth of their son, Hunter Morgan McDougald. Born January 11, 2010 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He weighed 6 pounds 4 ounces and was 19 inches long.
Paternal grandparents are Merle and Jan McDougald of Banks also James and Joline Lee of Kansas City, MO.
Maternal grandparents are Gene and Connie Boggs of McGehee and the late Cullen Gannaway of Arkansas City.
Hunter has two brothers and one sister; Lucas Linely, William McDougald and Kelsi McDougald.

Bo William Hammock was born on 1-22-10 at 9:05 am at Drew Memorial.
He weighed 7 lbs 12 oz , 21 1\4inches long.
Proud parents are Jay Hammock & Leigha Farley.
Congrats to them both! He is precious.

Dr. Jeff Reinhart and Serenna Washington are shown here with Baby Hardyn Sage Polite.
Hardyn was the first baby born at Drew Memorial Hospital in 2010 to parents Serenna Washington and Johnny Polite Jr..
The family received a gift basket commemorating the special event containing items donated by local area businesses.

Josh and Amanda Hays would like to announce the birth of their daughter, Olivia Blair Hays, born November 18, 2009 at Drew Memorial Hospital. She weighed 7 lbs. and 3.2 oz., and was 21 3/4 inches long.
Paternal grandparents are Greg and Pam Hays of McGehee. Paternal great-grandparents are Jim and Evon Stallings of Owasso, Oklahoma and the late Larry Hays of McGehee. Paternal great-great grandparents are Lorraine Hays, and the late G. W. Hays of McGehee.
Maternal grandparents are Michael and Phyllis Mills of Lake Village. Maternal great-grandparents are Evelyn Roark and the late Bobby Roark of Lake Village, and the late Claudie and Berlene Mills of Pine Bluff.
Olivia Blair was welcomed home by big sister, Brooklynn, age 10.

Alana Grace Liechty
Cyrus and Sabrina Liechty would like to announce the birth of their daughter, Alana Grace Liechty, born Friday, December 4, 2009, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She weighed 7 pounds and was 19 1/2 inches long.
Grandparents are Otis and Jeanie Cater, Hal Liechty and Diana Binkley, all of Monticello. Great-Grandparents are Jerry and Nancy White of Monticello and Howard Binkley of Michigan. Great-Great- Grandparents are Ethel Newton on Monticello.
She joins her sister, Elyssa Fayeth Liechty, age 4, at home.

Carter Nathanael Reed was born Thursday, November 5th at 9:41 a.m. at the Ashley Co. Medical Center in Crossett.
Carter weighed 8 lbs 15 oz and is 22 1/4 inches long. Carter is the son of Brison & Magen Reed of Monticello. Carter has one sister, Alexis Reed.
Paternal grandparents are Ronny & Brenda Reed of Monticello; paternal great-grandparents are Billy & Norma Reed of McGehee.
Maternal grandparents are Bubba & Carolyn Martin of Crossett; maternal great-grandparents are Mary Lou Wood of Crossett, John & Linda Martin of Monticello.

MonticelloLive.com has received a couple of letters in opposition to the posting of “Deer Hunting Photos”.
Although the staff and management of MonticelloLive disagrees with this opinion, and although the policy about negative comments has recently changed, it did seems appropriate to acknowledge that there are some readers who opposed this traditional yearly practice.

hortly after 10 p.m. Thursday night, a line of severe thunderstorms rolled across Monticello, leaving many electric customers without power. Most had service restored by 2 a.m., but Entergy’s website estimates that approximately 189 Drew County electric customers are still with service, as of 6 a.m.
Power to the South Main St./Jackson St. intersection is still off, including the Drew County Courthouse.
Storm damage reported to law enforcement included: a tree fell on a vehicle on Bowser Road,
Waff-L-Inn’s roof was damaged, and a large section of a tree fell on S. Gabbert near E. College,

Monday morning, just before noon, the driver of this Pontiac Transport van was traveling east on HWY 138/Winchester Road. The vehicle ran into water that was standing in the roadway next to a field, when the van apparently flipped, coming to a stop on it’s side in the ditch.
Monticello Fire & Rescue responded, along with Drew County Deputies and Monticello Police.
When the 911 call came in, it reported that the caller didn’t see anyone at the scene, but that someone could still be in the vehicle.
C&L Wrecker towed the Pontiac from the scene.

Tuesday morning around 11 o’clock the driver of this Chevy extended cab pick-up lost control and struck a tree in the Hunger Run area on HWY 35 North.
One patient was taken to Drew Memorial Hospital by ambulance. Tommy’s wrecker towed the Chevy.

Sarah and Eric Loomis of Monticello announce the birth of a daughter, Emily Rose Loomis, on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. The infant weighed 6 pounds, 1 ounce, and was 18 inches long.Grandparents are Vicky and Greg Berryman and Clif Turnage, all of Monticello, and Nancy and Rob Loomis of Warren.
Great-grandparents are Juanita Loomis of Banks and the late Dick Loomis, Norma Calaway of Warren and the late James C. Calaway, Ila Elkins of Warren and Marlys and Charles Turnage of Lake Village.

Brian and Sheila McDaniel of Benton, AR would like to announce the birth of their son Jordan Chase McDaniel. Jordan was born on January 30, 2009, at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, AR. Jordan weighed 7 pounds 11 ounces and was 20.5 inches long.
