On Monday, May 4th, at the regularly scheduled Drew County Museum Commission meeting, the commissioners were pleased to have Judge Robert Akin and Mayor Zach Tucker attend. Both men presented some ideas for the May 31 Grand Opening of the Country Store out back on the top floor of the carriage house. Caleb Lamb is a first year student at the Ramp School of Ministry in Hamilton, Alabama owned and operated by Karen Wheaton.

Caleb was recently asked to join the Brownsville Assembly of God Praise Team to sing on their upcoming live recording, that will be released later this year.

Caleb is the son of James and Karen Hall and the late David Lamb of Monticello.

Male Blue Tick in the Possum Valley area. He looks like he had a collar on, but no longer does. He is very friendly and loving. The Civil War Sesquicentennial Marker-Dedication Ceremony for the sixteen companies raised in Drew County will be Saturday, Feb. 28th, at 2 o’clock, @ the Drew County Courthouse. These companies contained 2500 men and left 500 families without a bread winner according to a document written in 1941 by Mrs. J. D. McCloy, a Monticello resident who researched local court records.
