Thirteen year old William Leslie of Monticello was awarded his 1st degree black belt on Sept. 17, 2019 at South Arkansas Martial Arts of Monticello. He is a three-time Arkansas Sports Karate Circuit State champion in Traditional and Musical Weapons. He has been a student at SAMAM for the past six years under the instruction of Master Richelle Danley and Mr. Geoff Trisolinni.

Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge today released the following statement in support of the proposed T-Mobile US, Inc. and Sprint Corporation merger. Rutledge joined the U.S. Department of Justice in formally supporting the merger based on conditions of the agreement, which will form the nation’s third-largest telecommunications carrier. 


MDA’s Dance Competition team attended Dance Showcase USA Nationals in Dallas, Texas in June. MDA took 27 routines to nationals. Each routine is given an adjudication score of Elite Platinum, Platinum, Elite Gold, or Gold. They are placed within their category (tap, jazz, lyrical, etc), and they can receive overall placements out of their age division/level.
