Around 4 PM, Monday, a tractor-trailer on fire was reported at Patriot Truck Stop, on highway 425 south.
It appears the brakes overheated causing the rear tire to catch fire.
The driver was able to disconnect from his fully loaded chip trailer preventing further damage.

Barkada Road will be closed Friday morning, for more permanent repairs to the culvert that washed out in April.
The specific culvert area is located between Tanglewood and Tracy Drive.
Please be aware and plan accordingly.
Hopefully repairs will be completed by 12 noon.
Wednesday night, it was reported to MPD that someone stole a vehicle from the Monticello Senior Center.
The truck, a Ford Maverick, is identical to the one in the photograph, except it will be labeled “SC6“ on the sides of the truck near the door.
