Fatality Head-On Crash on 425 North

Tuesday morning, at 8:28 AM, Monticello dispatch received a report of a head-on collision involving an 18-wheeler and a car, a few miles north of 5 Mile Hill.
Monticello Fire/Rescue, SEEMS, and the Drew County Dept., quickly responded.
A southbound Lexus had crossed into the oncoming lane, and collided with a northbound big-rig. The Lexus came to a stop in the northbound lane. The tractor -trailer crossed the ditch and came to rest in the edge of the woods.
The 25-year-old driver from Little Rock, Christian L. May was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer was transported to Drew Memorial Hospital by SEEMS.
The Arkansas State Police investigated the fatality accident. Big Wrecker cleared the roadway.
