A 40-year-old Dumas man was arrested Sunday morning, and is currently in the Drew County Jail, facing rape charges of a 7 year-old Monticello girl.
Scotty Keeling, who is believed to have been dating the victim’s mother, received a $25,000 bond, Monday afternoon from District Judge Sara Hartness.
The rape of the child allegedly occurred Saturday night at her home.
Monticello police are still conducting the investigation.

Where’s the knife? I am so sick of hearing about all these child molesters. If he did and there’s no doubt, then cut it off. Then these sicko’s can’t hurt children again that way. We start doing something to these sick people they might think twice about doing it again. And all you bleeding heart liberals out there in society, its your fault people don’t have any responsibility or morals anymore, cause ya’ll want to protect their rights. They shouldn’t have any rights!! They took that child’s rights away to be safe…
I swear there is a special place for crap like this one day. They need to put him in a cage with a bunch of angry father’s of little girls and let them take care of him.
$25,000 Bond for raping a seven year old? Are you kidding me? I’ve seen more of a bond on a marajuana charge! Not a proponent of either one, just saying…

25,000 you get more bond for drugs than this. A child molester needs to stay in jail until after trail so the victim fells safe.
This may not get posted, but I’ll try it anyway. Just 4 simple words. Bullet to the head.
First of all why such a low bond? Second did the childs mother know what this sicko was doing? If she did know how long did she know? Did she just find out and report it? If she had known and let go on why isnt she in jail for accessory? This man if guilty needs the death sentence not just a slap on the wrist

You can get higher bonds for selling game animals . $25,000 is way to low Is he kin to the judge ? 100 million would have been more like it.

Society, where are your morals? I totally agree Nancy!! Liberals have taken over this society and said that everyone should be equal and not punished for their crimes. That was a child’s life that he just ruined! He should NOT receive a slap on his wrist. Punish him!! I understand the whole, “Pray for people,” but in the same sense, don’t be ignorant. By letting these people off, we are saying that it’s acceptable, and it is NOT!! To the young girl, I truly hope you find strength in your hard times ahead because your life will no longer be the same. It will be hard to ever be able to trust anyone again. I hope the man that’s ruined your life has punishment like no other!

Where was this child’s mother? Probably another situation where the “fit parent” was granted guardianship but actually doesn’t fit the mold of a fit parent. I swear the legal system is crap. No way this kid should have been left with someone that WAS NOT HER PARENT. PERIOD.
As a mother of a young girl this breaks my heart. I feel hurt for the little girl who had her innocence taking from her and basically not given any justice. What is a $25,000 bond when he can get out with 10%. This is wrong and hurtful, praying for the little girl I can only imagine the pain she is going through right now.
As for the girl, it breaks my heart and we need to “pray without ceasing.”(1 Thess. 5:14)
As for the man, its good to pray for him, but you could be wasting your time for him.
