Friday, at 1:50 PM. A Chevy Silverado was struck broadside by a Nissan Altima, at the HWY 425 intersection with Barkada Road.

The vehicles’ direction of travel and possible fault was not available at the time of this posting.

Monticello Fire and Rescue responded, to the report of victims being trapped inside their vehicles. SEEMS and MASI responded, taking several of the 6 persons involved in the crash to Drew Memorial Hospital. Monticello Police worked the crash scene, which slowed traffic, while Reggie’s Wrecker and Rod’s Towing cleared the highway.
