Shots Fired – $150,000 Bond Issued

March 1st, 2016 by

imageA 30 year old Monticello man was arrested around 9 pm, Sunday, following shots being fired,  as Monticello Police were handcuffing his sister,  after a domestic disturbance.

Marcus Wilson, told officers that he had fired the weapon into the air, as they were restraining his sister, in the 200 block of East Trotter St.  This was following a disturbance, with neighbors and/or family members.

After the shot was fired by Wilson, officers drew their weapons on him. Wilson then went into the residence, and returned later, carrying a child, as a shield, before surrendering to police.

Wilson’s bond on aggravated assault charges was set at $150,000 by Judge Sara Hartness,  Monday afternoon, who said the bond was in response to a child being present, at the scene.

He is being held at the Drew County Jail.

Really? Sure you didn’t make that up? Using a CHILD AS A SHIELD? best I not say anything else about this character’s personal code of honor or total lack there of…

  2. Saddened says:

This is no environment for any child to be in! Things could’ve ended bad or worse. Thank God the child is safe and this thug(poor excuse for a protector or father) is locked up.
