With 5:04 remaining in the 1st quarter UAM drives 99 yards for a touchdown. Emporia State blocked the kick. Weevils lead 6-0.
ESU scored a touchdown with :06 to go in the 1st quarter. The kick was no good. Score is tied 6-6.
4:00 into the second quarter, ESU scored another touchdown, failed on their 2 point attempt, , and lead 12-6.
UAM kicked a field goal to bring the score 18-9 before halftime.
3rd quarter, UAM blocks a Hornet punt, scores and makes the point. 18-16.
ESU turns the ball over on 4 downs, UAM kicks a field goal, leads 19-16.
ESU follows UAM’s field goal with a TD, but failed on the 2 point conversion. ESU leads 24-19.
Fourth quarter, UAM field goal, 24-22.
11:03 to go. ESU TD, no conversion, 30-22.
Both teams continued to move the ball down the field, but no more scoring took place, with the game ending with Emporia State defeating UAM 30-22.
