Tanner Named First All-Region, Marvin & White Named Second Team

The National Collegiate Baseball Writers’ Association (NCBWA) released its annual All-Region awards over the weekend, and the University of Arkansas at Monticello baseball team saw one first-team and two second-team nods.
Junior outfielder Camden Tanner, who, on top of a unanimous All-GAC First Team selection and GAC Player of the Year selection, was selected as a First Team All-Region outfielder. Tanner led the Boll Weevils with a powerful offensive performance throughout the 2026 season. Sitting in fourth in Division II baseball, Tanner held a .451 batting average. He also sat 17th in D2 baseball, and led the GAC in slugging percentage with a .811. Tanner has 54 runs scored, 54 RBI, 15 doubles, and 14 home runs across 74 hits. He holds a .524 OBP with 15 walks and 10 HBP, while stealing 2 bases and striking out only 15 times across 164 at-bats.
The Weevils also saw seniors John White (RP) and Eli Marvin receive Second Team All-Region bids, following their GAC First-Team selections. White has been a staple reliever for the Boll Weevils throughout the 2026 campaign, currently holding a 7-3 record with a 1.63 ERA. In 22 appearances, he has 38.2 innings pitched with 28 strikeouts and 31 hits allowed, holding an opponent batting average of .220.
Marvin was a major contributor to the UAM offense throughout the season, slashing .337 with a .538 slugging percentage. He concluded the 2026 campaign with 60 hits across 178 at-bats with 12 home runs and eight doubles. On top of his bat, Marvin was walked 34 times to bump his on-base percentage to .446. He concluded his collegiate career with a 42-game on-base streak.
The Great American Conference saw seven players on the first team and six on the second team.
