Monticello High School Awarded Grant From Clearwater Paper

Monticello High School was awarded a grant of $3,000.00 from Clearwater Paper for its new school based enterprise. A school-based enterprise (SBE) is a set of entrepreneurial activities undertaken by students that provides an economic, social, and educational return to the student,

school, and community. SBEs provide realistic and practical learning experiences that reinforce classroom instruction. The Monticello High School SBE will sell to consumers through a point of sale system which will be known as “The Goat Shop”.

AG&F Removes Limits from Lake Monticello

The Director of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission removed all daily sportfish limits and length limits on Lake Monticello for all species of fish in an emergency proclamation as a result of the recent decision by the City of Monticello to drain the lake for repairs to its dam.
