Midway Route Blocked, Also – ALL Road Crews Responding

ARDOT crews are shown clearing Highway 425 N., near campground loop, around 6 AM, this morning.

Although city and county road crews didn’t get in a photo, they are out keeping the roads open, while all the falling trees are keeping them more than busy.

Road Conditions

The attached photo shows how slick the roads were late yesterday.

ARDOT has treated their main roads, as seen by the other photo, so some main highways are actually in better condition, today.

With that being said, outlying highways, and county roads are slick, according to Judge Griffin, early this morning.

Residents are asked to stay home, if possible, due to more predicted, freezing precipitation, later today.

UAMAlert: Due to icy conditions, UAM will pivot to virtual classes Wednesday, February 1st. All campuses and offices closed. Critical personnel report.

The Drew County Courthouse will be closed on Wednesday, due to bad weather. Regularly scheduled trash routes will resume when weather permits.

Head of the Class will be closed.

Drew County DHS will be open.

Drew County Health Unit will be closed.

Monticello District Court (Thursday), canceled.
