UAM Nursing Students Co-Host Health Expo

UAMHealthExpo Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) students in the School of Nursing at the University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM) collaborated with New Bethel Church Ministries in Winchester, Arkansas, to bring a health expo to residents of Drew, Lincoln and Desha counties in July. Big Rig Vs. Pickup on 425 North, 6:20, this morning.

Around 6:20, this morning, there was a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 425 N. and Barkada Road.

Indications at the scene imply that a Chevy truck was eastbound across Highway 425 north, when it collided with the front of a northbound 18 wheel tractor trailer.

The big rig came to arrest in the highway, the Chevy, collided with the front door area of the Outdoor Store.

ASP, MPD, SEEMS, responded, and wreckers have been paged.

No injuries have been reported.

Truck Fire on 172, Sunday

At around 9 AM, Sunday morning, firefighters from DCSO, and Valley and Greenhill fire departments responded to a Chevy truck on fire in the 1000 block of Highway 172, south of Monticello.
