Minutes after 8 AM, Friday morning, the Lacey-Ladelle fire department was paged out to this fire in the 500 area of Ladelle Road.

The fire was believed to have been caused by a lightning strike.

Monticello fire department was called out to assist battling the blaze, but the home was a total loss.

Drew County sheriffs deputies and OEM also responded.
