Ben Gilmore, Republican candidate for State Senate District 26, raised $57,684.98 in the third quarter from over 100 individual contributions. Over 68% of the total contributors live in the district, and Ben has nearly $57,000 cash on hand. The 2019 Fountain Hill High School Alumni Reunion and Banquet will be held Saturday October 19, 2019 in Fountain Hill at the gymnasium. Social hour will be from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. Dinner will be at 6:00 p.m. Catered by Big Daddy’s Country Cooking. True Witness will provide the entertainment.
The Class of 1969 will be honored.
The cost of dinner is $15.00 per person if paid in advance, $17.00 at the door.

Ashley County elected officials, following the original solar energy cost reduction plan, presented at last month quorum court meeting, are now considering a proposal from Entergy, to be part of a similar savings plan.

County Judge Jim Hudson is doing further research on the proposals and will report to the quorum court at their next meeting.
