The Desha/Drew County Cattlemen’s Association met on Thursday May 21st at 6:00 pm at the office place of the Cater family. The complete barbeque supper was sponsored and prepared by AgHeritage. The meal was blessed by President Jason Cater. After a time of food and fellowship, Mr. Bill Stephens came up to speak to producers about his work with AgHeritage as well as Town and Country Feed. Mr. Stephens let members know that Agheritage is there to help with needs and glad to help. He also gave an update on Town and Country’s new products as well as tried and true favorites.

Following Mr. Stephens, Dr. Jason Cater let producers know about his operation including cattle and hogs. He also gave producers some insight into creep feeding. Lastly, he told everyone about the supplies and equipment Premier Poultry has available for their cattle needs. It was also decided that the association would have a special cake and ice cream celebration in preparation for the 4th of July to be held at the June meeting. The meeting was then adjourned.
