Courthouse Water Leak Repaired
June 18th, 2014 bySince the deteriorating outside wall of the courthouse clubroom has been repaired, Drew County officials have been trying to determine the source of a stream of water that kept flowing into the room.
According to Judge Robert Akin at Monday night’s quorum court meeting, after eliminating a drainage problem is the cause, they removed the landscaping from the area, and then began digging.
They found a water faucet (below ground level) no one knows how long it’s been there.
They also found a water leak in a pipe, that seems to be the source of the problem, which has now been repaired.
