City receives $414,000 ARDOT Grant for Lake Trail

According to Monticello Mayor Jason Akers, the City of Monticello received notification last week from the Arkansas Department of Transportation that the Lakewood Trail, located at Lake Monticello received $414,000 in funding for the next phase of construction to the trail.

UAM Basketball To Hold Free Admission In The Turkey Special

UAMTurkeySpecial The University of Arkansas at Monticello Basketball Teams invite fans to join them over Thanksgiving week, on Tuesday, Nov. 21 and Saturday, Nov. 25 for free admission games.

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, the Weevils and Blossoms wanted to give back to the community during the holiday season. UAM invites fans throughout the Monticello area to join them at Steelman Fieldhouse for games against Arkansas Baptist, Arkansas – Fort Smith, and Williams Baptist.

Weekly Games Schedule
Tuesday, Nov. 21 – WBB vs. Arkansas Baptist College – 6:00 PM
Saturday, Nov. 25 – WBB vs. Arkansas – Fort Smith – 1:00 PM
Saturday, Nov. 25 – MBB vs. Williams Baptist College – 3:00 PM

Admission will be completely FREE for all that attend.
