Around 6:30, Sunday evening,  a funnel cloud was seen in Drew County, which destroyed a local home, near Lake Monticello.

Selma Collins Road  is a good example of what may lie around the curve, on county roads

The van has been rescued, but the road is mostly under water on the south end.

After a night without hard, heavy rain, HWY 138 has been re-opened.

At 5 pm, AHTD  made decision to close HWY 138, east Monticello, going toward Pine Hill and Winchester.

Travelers can take 278 to 293 North, which is still open.

An early morning Flash Flood Warning may have passed, but many roadways are still underwater and dangerous.

Please use caution as you travel to your Christmas day events, today.

In the fall of 2016 children with disabilities will finally be able to play ball in Monticello.

Monday, Monticello Mayor Zack Tucker received a letter from Governor Hutchinson announcing Arkansas Department Parks & Tourism has awarded the city $250,000 of grant funding from the state’s Outdoor Recreation Grants Program.

Courtney Goodson, a candidate for Chief Justice of the Arkansas Supreme Court, was is in Monticello, Monday.

She spent the day visiting local residents at the courthouse, as well as area businesses.

Drew County U of A Cooperative Extension Office, located at the Drew Courthouse, would like to recognize one of their staff members.

Mrs. Angelia Anderson our Expanded Food Nutrition Education Program Assistant received the 2015 Extension Excellence Early Career Award at our Little Rock State Office Faulty Conference.

Scott Barrilleaux, CEO of Drew Memorial Hospital, announced Monday that two physicians will staff the hospital’s Emergency Department on December 26 and 27.
