According to SalineRiverChronicle.com, the Warren Fire Department responded to a fire around 2:30 A.M. Wednesday on Davenport Street.
Around 20 fire fighters answered the call.

At 3:26 Monday afternoon, there was a two car collision near Freds on Highway 425 S., that sent to passengers to Drew Memorial Hospital.

Monticello Kiwanis had a wrapping party, Wednesday, to provide Christmas for a family in Drew County.

There are 5 small children and they also provided them with kid friendly food. this is one of many projects that Kiwanis does for Drew County Kids.

Around 11 AM, Friday morning, the driver of this Mazda 3 attempted to pass a truck on highway 278 E., unaware that in front of the truck she was passing was a FedEx truck that was turning left.

Around 5:15, Thursday night, while most Monticello residents were preparing for the annual Christmas parade, a local homeowner on Old Troy Road received word from a neighbor, that his house was on fire. He called 911, and the Monticello Fire Department quickly responded.

The home was fully engulfed in flames, and was a total loss.
