On April 29, of last year, 2 men entered an Oakland Street and robbed the homeowner with a gun..

The victim stated that he was dragged outside by one of the suspects and a gunshot was fired into his car window.

A 25 year old McGehee man died, early Sunday morning, as a result of gunshots fired in Dumas.

A 26-year-old Monticello man has been arrested and charged with capital murder and aggravated assault in the case.

According to information just received by MLive, on January 31, agents of the DTF began an investigation into allegations that deputy Robert “Bo” Sanderlin of the Drew County Sheriff’s Office attempted to entice a person with an alleged pending drug charge from mid-January, into planting drugs on another person, prior to a traffic stop/drug bust.
