On Wednesday August 10th, at approximately 10:13 A.M., Sheriff Mark Gober received a call from a Drug Task Force agent that had attempted to make a traffic stop on Jerry Brooks, who had outstanding warrants at the time. In a case making its way through the Drew County circuit court system, minutes before midnight on May 27, MPD received a report of a domestic incident involving a firearm, where a male had reportedly shot at a female, multiple times, choking her and holding the firearm to her head, at a HWY 425 South apartment. Around 1 PM, on Monday, July 4, a local driver was pulled over by MPD and cited for improper use of emergency lights,  following a citizens complaint of him driving on Highway 425 south, with flashing red and white lights.
