This photo, taken this morning, shows a city worker “mowing the other side of the ditch” on Scott Street between Hyatt St. and HWY 425.

The extendable-arm bush-hog mower makes it possible to effectively perform this task, in a safe manner.

This gorgeous image of the full moon rising over Lake Monticello from Thanksgiving Evening, was shared by Mark Cater.

Recently, Monticello Coffee Company was the local stopping spot for a TV celebrity, Willie Robertson from Duck Commander and the Duck Dynasty TV series.

Robertson lives in Monroe and was passing through on business.
While there, he met Annette Taylor and the staff, and took time for a few friendly photos.

Halle Ross, daughter of Zack and Jade Ross, harvested her mega cabbage yesterday.

She got the plant from MIS, where she attended the 3rd grade, back in the spring and has taken care of it since April.

It weighed in at a whopping 18 lbs!

The “RazorBug”, a unique recruiting tool for the University of Arkansas, spent Tuesday and Tuesday night in Monticello, on University business, which usually means recruiting students for UA.
