We have so much to be thankful for and I thank God for each and every blessing. One of those blessing is you, the supporters of the Nichols For Sheriff Campaign. I am thankful for all of the love and support shown from you and your families. Please know that if elected I will due my best to make Drew County a better and safer place to live, work, visit but most importantly raise a family!

In Tuesday night’s election for Monticello mayor, police chief, Jason Akers, defeated former mayor Joe Rogers and Bart Gregory, and was elected Mayor of Monticello.

Akers is a career law enforcement officer, and has served as local police chief since current mayor, Paige Chase, was elected and appointed him as MPD’s chief.

I want to give thanks to God, my family, friends and supporters. I am humbled by the support that each of you have shown throughout the last year and the words of encouragement. It sincerely means the world to me.

With that being said we have another obstacle to overcome and that is a runoff election on December 6th.

So please let’s keep the faith and momentum alive as we continue on this journey together in order to make Drew County a better and safer place to live, work, visit but most importantly raise a family.
