Several city and county candidates for local offices took part in the Democratic Party of Drew County’s “breakfast on the Square”, Saturday morning.

The event, although sponsored by the Democratic party, welcomed all candidates,  as well as any voter who wanted to visit or enjoy a breakfast burrito.

The county clerk’s office held a drawing for ballot positions, at the courthouse.

Most of the candidates were present for the event.

Congratulations to Quincy Ross, the new Circuit Judge for the 10th judicial district.

Ross defeated James Hamilton, of Hamburg and Crossett, by a districtwide vote of 1722/1277, Tuesday night.

With all precincts reporting,  here are the final, unofficial totals from the local Drew County elections.

 Today is election day.   Vote in your usual pre-sinks, before 7:30 pm.

Changes to remember include Ward 1 is now voting at Ethel Hawkins center at Holmes Chapel on 278 East and Collins is now voting at Enon Baptist Church.
