The Drew County Courthouse, Road Department, and Landfillwill be closed on MondayJanuary 21st in observance of Martin Luther King Jr.

The following will be the schedule for trash pickup:

Monday Jan. 21st will be picked up on Tuesday Jan. 22nd along with the regular Tuesday route.  There will be no other changes.

The tornado warning sirens will be tested EVERY Wednesday, at noon.

This will take place, unless it is extremely cloudy or storms are likely.

Late Tuesday, an earthquake in Hollandale, Mississippi was felt in Drew County.

The Swearing in ceremony, set for 3 PM today, for city and county elected officials, has been moved to the District Courtroom, in the old Library building.

County Closures For New Year’s:
The Drew County Courthouse, Road Department, and Landfill will be closed on January 1st, for New Year’s.

The following will be the schedule for trash pickup:
Tuesday Jan. 1st will be picked up on Wednesday Jan. 2nd.

Starting the week of November 12th, 2018 our Trash Route will again be Monday – Friday. We will no longer work a 4 day route. Friday routes will again be picked up on Friday. Thank you for your cooperation as we tried the new schedule, and please be patient as we convert our routes back to the original schedule.
