The Sadie Johnson Center was filled with concerned local residents over 2 specific issues; Water Quality and the potential transfer of the Senior Citizens Center to Area Agency on Aging.
The engineer described the past few years water history, including chlorine and naturally occurring ammonia, within the system.
Stone emphasized the importance of having a full-time licensed water operator, for the city of Monticello. Later in the meeting, Mayor Paige Chase stated that the city is searching for a level 4 operator, for that position.

Around 7:45 AM, Thursday morning, a city trash truck working its route backed into a Entergy power pole on the west end of Jordan Drive, near the medical complex.
Currently 10 customers are without power, and Entergy is on the scene, however, most of those customers are medical and clinic related.
Power should be restored soon.

MLive reported low water pressure, affecting areas from E. Jackson St. to the UAM area, late Wednesday.
City crews discovered the leak in a wooded area, repaired it, and water pressure has been restored back to normal.
No special precautions are advised, since pressure was constant, even though low.
