Faith Missionary Baptist Church will be having a 1 Day VBS Camp on June 10th from 830 AM-3 PM. We will provide breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. We would love to have any kiddo up to 5th grade attend and learn about Jesus’ love. It’s going to be a great day!!

We are engaged in an epic battle for the hearts and minds of our youth. Every day, they’re bombarded with lies about who they are, who their Creator is, and where their salvation comes from. Thankfully, God has given his children armor to wear in this battle between truth and lies, light and darkness, good and evil.

With this VBS, your kids will learn how they can be part of God’s kingdom through salvation in his Son and will be equipped with the armor of God to become Keepers of the Kingdom and stand strong in today’s battle for truth.

The Shady Grove Disaster Relief Team is deploying this week for Mississippi to help and serve those that have been devastated by last week’s storms. Keep Arkansas Beautiful visited Monticello and Drew Central Elementary Schools last week and brought Otto the Otter to visit with kids, hand out coloring books and talk to them about keeping Monticello clean.

Mayor Akers is encouraging a city wide clean up on March 24th and 25th. On the 24th, city employees will pick up litter and trash in town and any institution wanting to help on Saturday the 25th can contact City Hall to arrange a time to obtain clean up materials furnished by Keep Arkansas Beautiful.

So far, several Churches have volunteered to help on the 25th, including Morning Star Missionary Baptist, Church of Christ, The Revival Center and Immanuel Baptist.

The SEARK Baptist Network disaster relief foodservice trailer is set up at First Baptist Church, to assist electric outage victims, servicemen and women working the area,  along with those using the warming shelter at FBC, for lunch at 11:30am and supper at 5:00pm, today.

There will be no meal Saturday, due to the number of outage victims who now have electricity.

The food and service are provided by local Baptist churches, working together, to serve Drew County.
